We're officially in the home stretch. My protruding belly is leading me towards the light at the end of the tunnel. I am so anxious to cradle my baby boy, I can almost smell his Baby Magic kissed skin. I find myself going into his room for no apparent reason, looking at his empty crib, the un-turned pages of Goodnight Moon and the perfectly sweet newborn clothes hanging in his closet....patiently waiting. 12 more weeks. I can do this.

It's funny how pregnancy just sort sneaks up on you. For the first several months your mid section just looks sort of pudgy, not pregnant. And then POW! All of the sudden absolutely nothing in your closet/dresser/dryer fits and the cashier at Target is asking if you're having twins. I just thought I could squeeze into my favorite jeans one more time...ha! Yeah right. Awesome. Or finding yourself doing things that you said you would NEVER do....like actually purchasing a pair of Chuck Taylor's because the thought of slipping on high heels for an entire day is nauseating. Or eating lunch at 11 a.m. because you are SO hungry waiting until 12 just might kill you. But, here I am. 28 weeks pregnant and completely in love with our baby boy who has squished my innards so far into my rib cage that he has literally taken my breath away. In love.

...and a look back at the past six months. Time is flying...

  1. Jude, your mommy is looking wonderful these days! She is enjoying taking you everywhere with her, and it will be that way for a long time to come, even after your birth. Soon, you will be born into this world and you will be surrounded with love. Your mommy and daddy will finally get to see you and hold you and count all your toes and fingers. They will finally get to feel you, as a real part of their new family. I wonder who you will look like?
